Camuesa Connector Trail

Santa Ynez Outdoors
Among the many trails within the Paradise Road entrance to Los Padres National Forest is the Camuesa Connector Trail. Done by mountain bike, the trail becomes a winding roller coaster that dips and drops though stream beds, up and over several saddles, and eventually down a thrilling descent to the Santa Ynez River. This would make a great hiking trail as well, although it would mean a prolonged walk up Buckhorn Road to get to the trailhead, followed by a three-mile walk back along Paradise Road to complete the loop. This particular route is probably best suited for mountain biking or horseback riding. Along the way you'll get a great workout, enjoy some of the region's best single-track, and be treated to an incredible number of wildflowers and other plant varieties.
